Actor Firoz Khan a.k.a Arjun from Mahabharat changed his name for his career; reveals Jackie Shroff was initially offered the role

Actor Firoz Khan who’s often known as Arjun is glad that the current technology is getting to look at Mahabharat once more. In an interview with a every day, Firoz recalled the days he auditioned for BR Chopra’s Mahabharat and why he changed his name.

Firoz mentioned that when he went to audition for the sequence, he noticed actors like Deepak Parashar, Raj Babbar and Govinda there. For the audition, he was given two pages of dialogues in Hindi and it was Govinda who requested him to provide a shot.

The actor believes he was destined to play Arjun although the half was purported to be essayed by Jackie Shroff. When the actor didn’t get a name even per week after the audition he went to Chopra ‘s workplace. He was requested to put on the costume and moustache and visited BR Chopra and the writers who mentioned that he has been finalised to play Arjun.

Talking about why he changed his name, Firoz Khan mentioned that at any time when he would name up a producer, they might assume that he’s Feroz Khan. He mentioned that when he would clarify who he was the producers would ask him to name later and he would really feel insulted. The actor mentioned that it was Chopra and Dr Raza (Mahabharat author) who beneficial the story as a brand new name. Firoz mentioned that the change in name gave him every part he dreamt if and even his mom started to deal with him as Arjun.
