Former Assam minister and Golaghat MLA Ajanta Neog met Union House Minister Amit Shah on Saturday.
The MLA, who was in Congress, later stated will likely be becoming a member of Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) within the subsequent one or two days.
“After I was in Congress, I used to be in get together self-discipline and therefore I used to be not in a position to specific my views clearly. Now I’ve left that get together and can make be a part of BJP inside one or two days,” she stated.
Congress had on Friday expelled Ajanta Neog from its main membership for “indulging in anti-party actions”.
Ajanta Neog had met Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and North-East Democratic Alliance convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma earlier this month.
Meeting elections are scheduled to be held in Assam subsequent 12 months.
